About the event
Join us for a special evening dedicated to the timeless tradition of the ghazal.
Ghazal is a poetic and musical form rooted in South Asia, known for its exploration of love, longing, beauty, memory, and the many shades of the human experience. Performed in an intimate setting, a ghazal mehfil invites listeners to slow down, reflect, and immerse themselves in the meeting of poetry and melody.
The evening will open with a few intimate performances by selected artists from the Berlin community, setting the mood for a night of poetry, melody, and shared musical expression.
This will be followed by the main ensemble performance, featuring vocalist and harmonium player Apurba Biswas, accompanied by a distinguished group of musicians:
