Suron Ki Shaam is a community for anyone who loves South Asian music, regardless of experience or skill level. Whether you sing in the shower, play an instrument casually, or perform regularly, you will find a welcoming space here.

Each month, we gather for an evening of karaoke, live music, and sing-alongs that celebrate the richness of Bollywood classics, ghazals, and South Asian favourites. It is not a concert but a friendly and supportive setting to share music, connect with others, and enjoy the simple joy of singing together.

Join us to sing, listen, and celebrate music in an atmosphere of warmth, openness, and community.

💙 Be respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and courtesy, regardless of background, experience, or ability.

🚫 No offensive or divisive behaviour: Avoid discriminatory, political, or inflammatory language or conversations. We do not tolerate racist, sexist, or exclusionary conduct.

🎭 Be considerate during performances: Keep voices low and avoid interruptions while performers are on stage. Applause and encouragement are always appreciated.

📷 Respect privacy: Always ask permission before recording or photographing others. Some performers may prefer not to be recorded.

🧭 Follow volunteers’ directions: Our volunteers are here to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable event. Please respect their guidance.

🌿 Maintain a positive atmosphere: Anyone behaving disruptively or disrespectfully may be asked to leave the event.
